Some information about the program:
The UNESCO-UNITWIN program was initiated in 1992 at the 26th session of UNESCO. The aim of this program is to build the capacity of higher education and research institutions through knowledge exchange and sharing. UNESCO appoints lead units in various multidisciplinary fields to provide a platform for cooperation within partner universities in the areas of training, research and academic exchange.
The UNESCO-UNITWIN Program is chaired by the Asia-Pacific Women's Information Network Center (APWINC) affiliated to Sookmyung Women's University with the theme "Empowering Women through IT Skills and Leadership Capability". It was started in 2016 with the official participation of 04 member universities from Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia. In 2018, QNU of Vietnam was honored to become an official member of this program network. Currently, the program network consists of 16 universities from 9 countries in Asia, Africa and Oceania.
