TU - The 37th ASEAN +1 Council of Teachers (ACT) Convention was held in Malaysia for 3 days (September 15 - 17, 2023). Dr. Hoang Quy Chau - member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam National Education Trade Union (VNETU), Chairwoman of Quy Nhon University’s Trade Union was one of the delegates of VNETU at the Convention.
The 37th ACT+1 Convention was held at the Everly Convention Center (Putrajaya, Malaysia), with the participation of more than 600 delegates who were education managers, teachers and trade union officials from the Trade Unions of Education, Teachers' Trade Unions and Teachers' Associations of 08 countries: Brunei, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

With the theme of Future Education Orientation, the Convention included a seminar, a national report-presenting session and 4 parallel sessions on the topics: encouraging the use of game activities to improve the quality of digital teaching and learning, using digital teaching to respond to future challenges, encouraging online research for future education and empowering digital workforce.
VNETU presented a national report entitled "Combining face-to-face and online teaching to impart knowledge to learners at all levels" and a thematic report entitled "Digital skills training in schools through sample lectures".
Within the framework of the Convention, the delegation of VNETU also participated in exchange and performing arts activities apart from offering the introduction to many types of coffee, which received considerable attention from the participants. At the Convention, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An - member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of VNETU made some positive contributions to the Conference Resolution.

After 3 days of work, the Convention passed the 37th ACT+1 Resolution, recognizing the importance of digital technology in teaching and learning. The Convention pledged to call on the relevant governments to implement regimes to encourage teachers and students to actively participate in digital learning towards the sustainable development of a high-quality education. At the same time, the 37th ACT+1 Convention decided to assign the task and gave the flag of ACT+1 to the Thai Teachers’ Trade Union, the host of the 38th ACT+1 Convention in 2024.
