ICT - Officially kicking off Phase 1 of the IUC program, from September 19 to September 23, Quy Nhon University (QNU) welcomed and worked with a team of experts from Belgium on the project "Improving Quy Nhon University’s capacity for providing digital services for students, e-learning and libraries” (Project 6).
Experts survey QNU’s network operating room
During 5 days working at QNU, the experts from Belgium under Project 6 carried out a comprehensive survey of the physical conditions of the lecture halls, libraries, dormitories, information technology facilities, network operating rooms, studio and related units for the development of project implementation plans. At the closing meeting, the IUC program management representative and the Belgian experts under Project 6 released the survey results and put forward some proposals to develop a plan to modernize student service and management, develop e-learning materials and upgrade the library. On that basis, the parties discussed and agreed on the project implementation plan in Phase 1 (2022 - 2027).

Speaking at the closing meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My said, Project 6 (under IUC) was an important program for QNU and the experts to perfect the information technology network, take good advantage of technology, design learning materials, promots e-learning and conduct other capacity-building activities. He added that through specific discussions, the parties would step by step implement work effectively to achieve the project's goals in Phase 1.

Over the next five years, Project 6 will focus on providing students with internal email and modernizing student services; putting the e-learning system into operation; improving services and digitizing library documents. After 10 years of implementation, the project will be expexted to achieve a number of goals: complete an information technology system, design online courses, build a modern library able to link up and share digitized documents with other libraries. Therefore, Project 6 will bring many benefits to QNU’s staff and students and contribute to modernizing its university management and autonomy.
