ICT - On the afternoon of March 20, within the framework of a meeting with the leaders of the Binh Dinh Province People's Committee on the organization of the TEQBALL WORLD SERIES, Mr. Lehőcz Gábor, Consul General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City Minh, and Mr. Laszlo Vajda, General Secretary of the Fédération Internationale de Teqball or FITEQ (International Teqball Federation), came to visit and present Quy Nhon University (QNU) with 02 TeqBall sports tables.
QNU receives 02 TeqBall sports tables
TeqBall is a sport that combines football, table tennis and indirect fighting, played on a curved table, separated by a plastic net in the middle and uses a soccer ball to swing back and forth between the two sides of the field. This sport came into being in Hungary in 2014 and has quickly conquered the world over the past decade.
Currently TeqBall has become popular worldwide with more than 5,000 players in more than 150 countries. The National federations run 2,000 clubs globally.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My – Rector of QNU expressed his joy at welcoming Mr. Lehőcz Gábor - Consul General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City and Mr. Laszlo Vajda - Secretary General of FITEQ and the delegation to pay a working visit to QNU, affirming that QNU always paid great attention to investing in its facilities to serve its training programs, including those in physical education and adding that the receipt of 02 TeqBall sports tables would create conditions for QNU’s lecturers and students access and practice a brand new sport in the world.

Mr. Lehőcz Gábor - Consul General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City thanked QNU’s leaders for their warm welcome and expressed the hope that this sport would be developed at QNU.
After the meeting, the two sides visited the Sports Gymnasium on QNU’s campus. The TEQBALL WORLD SERIES in Vietnam is expected to be held in Quy Nhon City for the first time in June 2024, with the participation of 120 teams from more than 100 countries.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Lehőcz Gábor - Consul General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City and Mr. Laszlo Vajda - Secretary General of the Fédération Internationale de Teqball or FITEQ (International Teqball Federation), and leaders from FITEQ; leaders of the Binh Dinh Department of Foreign Affairs, representative of Saigon Sports Investment Co. Ltd, and on the side of QNU, by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My, Rector, Dr. Hoang Quy Chau, Chairwoman of QNU’s Trade Union, leaders of the Administration Office, the Office of Research Affairs & International Relations, the Center for Information & Communications, Student Association and the Faculty of Physical Education. |
