RA&IC - With the theme “Enhancing women’s status through information technology and leadership skills”, on the afternoon of July 3, Quy Nhon University (QNU) and Sookmyung Women's University, (South Korea) jointly offered a training course with 60 female students from QNU, taking place for 5 days (3 - 7 July, 2023).
Unesco Unitwin 2023 program officially opened at QNU
Different from the programs organized in previous years, which all student attendees took online due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2023 UNESCO UNITWIN program with the participation of some professors and students from Sookmyung Women's University is held in person at QNU.

The course atttendees are divided into two classes: 30 of them will be trained in information technology and the other 30 in leadership skills. This is an opportunity for QNU’s female students to have the opportunity to learn information technology, sharpen their critical thinking, leadership skills, improve foreign languages and exchange cultures. In addition, the course also helps QNU’s female students to be more confident when working in groups, giving presentations through lively and attractive lessons with practical activities under the guidance of Prof. Sehjae Chun and Prof. Changkyu Yoon (Sookmyung Women's University). After finishing the course, 04 best students will have the opportunity to come to Seoul (South Korea) to attend the Advanced Hackathon held in late 2023.
The UNESSCO - UNITWIN program is one of the international cooperation activities of QNU, officially implemented in 2019. Dr. Nguyen Van Thang - Deputy Head of the Office of Research Affairs & International Cooperation, expressed the hope that the program would bring the student attendees useful skills and interesting experiences.
The opening ceremony of the course was attended by leaders of the Office of Research Affairs & International Cooperation; the Office of Student and Political Affairs; the Administration Office; some professors, students from Sookmyung Women's University, representatives of the Yongsan District Standing Office and 60 female students from QNU. |
