After performing the ceremony's rituals, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My - Rector of QNU, welcomed and commended QNU’s Course 46 new students for their high academic achievements. In his opening speech, he also reminded generations of QNU students of the important things they need to learn during their university years, saying that "Besides focusing on your studies, you need to pay attention to cultivate virtue, aiming to comprehensively improve yourselves intellectually, ethically and physically in preparation for your future careers”.

Pham Quoc Toan - Course 46 new student of History Education with the highest university entrance examination score speaks at the ceremony
In the 2023 - 2024 academic year, QNU enrolled 4,109 students. At the opening ceremony, the University commended and rewarded its new students for their outstanding achievements in the 2023 admissions season. On behalf of the new students, Pham Quoc Toan, a Course 46 new student of History Education, who achieved the highest university entrance examination score, said "I feel very happy to be admitted to QNU. During the first few weeks studying at the University, my friends and I were very impressed with a university with a history of more than 45 years. I promise that during my 4 years studying here, I will try my best to study and participate in the University's activities. I will try harder each day to improve myself". Pham Quoc Toan is said to have achieved University Admissions Aspiration 1 to QNU’s History Education program with the highest university entrance score of 27.8.

On the occasion of the opening ceremony of the new academic year, representatives of agencies, enterprises and corporations also awarded scholarships to QNU students. The representative of Vietnam-based KURZ Group also affirmed that KURZ Vietnam was ready to accompany QNU and create opportunities for its students to work in a modern technical environment right in Binh Dinh.

On the journey of more than 45 years of construction and development, with youth and enthusiasm, the leadership, officials, lecturers, the staff and students of QNU have promoted the spirit of enthusiasm and emulation and recorded many considerable achievements. We believe that, in the 2023 - 2024 academic year, QNU will implement many positive changes in training, scientific research, technology transfer and quality accreditation, which ensures the effective implementation of the goal of providing high quality human resources, meeting the requirements of employers and society.
