ICT - At the invitation of CITI University (Ulan Bator, Mongolia), representatives of Quy Nhon University (QNU) attended the European Commission-funded Kick-off event of the project on Connecting the digital gap between Mongolia and Vietnam through digital transformation in higher education institutions (DIGITAL MOVE), held at CITI University for 03 days (May 23-25), in order to introduce the DIGITAL MOVE project to the member universities, helping promote the digital transformation of member universities in Mongolia and Vietnam, including QNU.
DIGITAL MOVE is a project under the sponsorship of the European Commission, to enhance the capacity of higher education institutions in developing countries. The project is launched to achieve the main goals of developing a digital transformation culture in higher education institutions of Mongolia and Vietnam; promoting a digital transformation culture; developing digital soft skills for officials and learners through innovative educational pathways. At the project launch event, the partners heard reports and discussed the overview of the project implementation plan, the roadmap for implementing the work packages and related issues.

As one of the participants in DIGITAL MOVE, QNU cooperated with member universities to plan the kick-off event. At the event, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dat - Director of QNU’s Center for Information Technology & Communication, Project leader introduced the digital transformation of QNU, and discussed the upcoming activities of the DIGITAL MOVE project. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Tien Trung - Head of the Office of Science, Technology & International Cooperation also signed a memorandum of cooperation and implementation of activities of the DIGITAL MOVE project. After finishing the discussion session, the participants of the event visited the working areas, classrooms, laboratories, libraries of CITI University and Mongolian University of Life Sciences.

This is an international cooperation project of great significance to the development of QNU, especially in the context that QNU is promoting digital transformation in all areas including governance, training and research. The DIGITAL MOVE project is expected be implemented in 2023.

The DIGITAL MOVE project is joined by 13 member universities from France, Slovakia, Mongolia and Vietnam, consisting of:
- 02 universities in Europe: Université Côte d'Azur - Université Côte d'Azur (France) and Technical University of Kosice - Technical University of Kosice (Slovakia).
- 04 institutes and universities of Mongolia: CIT-CITI University, Mongolian University of Life Sciences, Otoch Manramba University Otoch Manramba University and Erdenet Institute of Technology- Erdenet Institute of Technology.
- 07 Vietnamese universities: Quy Nhon University, Danang University, Nha Trang University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Can Tho University, Tay Nguyen University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.
