ICT - On the morning of December 19, Quy Nhon University (QNU) had a meeting with the delegation from Yongsan District (Seoul, South Korea) led by Ms. Kim Sun Su - Deputy Chief of Yongsan District.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Kim Sun Su - Deputy Chief of Yongsan District, expressed her love for the weather and beautiful landscape of Quy Nhon City. The two sides totally agreed to promote the friendly relationship, serving as a cultural bridge between Vietnam and South Korea for students and lecturers of QNU. “I know that QNU is a major university of Binh Dinh province and Central Vietnam. Therefore, I really hope that QNU can accompany international cooperation projects with universities in Korea and the Yongsan District authorities to strengthen the friendship between the two sides”, said Ms. Kim Sun Su.

“Expanding international cooperation is considered a breakthrough solution to education reform, in line with the trends of the times. In the spirit of comprehensive strategic cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea along with friendly cooperation between Quy Nhon City and Yongsan District, QNU always tries to promote relationships with South Korean universities to further strengthen the relationship between the two sides,” said Assoc. Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My - Rector of QNU. Quy Nhon City and Yongsan District have had a friendly cooperative relationship in many fields for 27 years.
He also expressed the hope that Quy Nhon City could serve as “a friendship bridge" for the students in Yongsan District and those in Quy Nhon City in particular and in Vietnam in general, further promoting cooperation between the two sides as well as the growing tourism of Quy Nhon City.

| The meeting was also attended by Ms. Hong Ji Young - Head of the Yongsan District International Cooperation Office, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Nam - Vice Chairman of Quy Nhon City People's Committee, Mr. Yang Ki Ho - head of the Yongsan District Administrative Support Office. The delegation was received by Assoc.Prof. Dr. Do Ngoc My - Rector of QNU and heads of some units such as the Office of Research Affairs & International Relations, the Department of Undergraduate Training Office, the Administration Office, the Office of Political & Student Affairs, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and the Center for Japanese Language and Culture. |
