ICT - In order to create a standard learning environment for its students, Quy Nhon University (QNU) always interests heavily in its facilities. On the morning of April 8, QNU inaugurated its Automotive Practice Center, serving the needs of practice and research of its students of Automotive Engineering Technology.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My - Rector of QNU said that Binh Dinh province was attracting many enterprises, and had good transport infrastructure, logistics, Nhon Hoi economic zone, Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park including the automotive industry. He emphasized that with a team of highly qualified lecturers in Automotive Engineering Technology, with modern facilities and equipment, QNU students would have the opportunity to practise and get access to advanced automotive diagnostic, repair and simulation support technologies. At the same time, he also expressed his thanks and hope that local authorities and enterprises would continue to stand by QNU in training and research, providing high-quality human resources, contributing to socio-economic development of Binh Dinh and the region.

The construction of QNU’s Automotive Practice Center located on the university campus with a total area of nearly 600 metres square was started in October 2022. The entire practice area includes intensive practice areas such as the practice area for engines, chassis, automotive electrical - electronics, digitization practice room with software suites for calculation, design and simulation provided by Siemens with a perpetual license, the research and development laboratory for diagnostics and simulation technology. The machinery and equipment at the QNU Automotive Practice Center are modern ones equivalent to those widely used in standard garages. This is a favorable condition for QNU students of automotive engineering technology to have the opportunity to interact, research and practise on machines and accessories similar to those widely used in automobiles.

Doing practice in parallel with gaining professional knowledge will help students equip themselves with in-depth knowledge and skills in calculation, design, simulation of systems, structures, research and development of products in the field of automotive engineering technology, electric cars, thereby creating the necessary skills to help students meet employers’requirements.
