ICT - After 6 working days (February 4 - 9, 2023), on the afternoon of February 9, Quy Nhon University (QNU) in cooperation with Education Accreditation Center (University of Da Nang) held the closing ceremony of the official survey for independent appraisal of the educational quality of QNU (Cycle 2).

At the closing ceremony, the IAT gave the preliminary report on the appraisal results, noting that QNU had made many improvements since the Cycle 1 accreditation in 2017. Based on 25 standards and 111 criteria for appraising the quality of higher education set by the Ministry of Education and Training, the IAT analyzed the strengths of QNU, which incuded vision, mission in line with functions, tasks, resources and development orientation of the sector, locality, South Central - Central Highlands regions and the whole country, the admissions plan and policy are in line with its strategy and various admissions method, periodically reviewed, amended programs, high qualified lecturers, up-to-date facilities, high rate of graduates finding employment, community service projects, etc. Besides, the IAT also pointed out some shortcomings and made specific recommendations in all areas to QNU for the quality improvement in the new period in line with its autonomy, vision and development strategy.

Assoc. Dr. Do Ngoc My - Rector of QNU thanked the Education Accreditation Center (University of Da Nang) and the IAT for their serious and responsible work to complete the official survey for the independent appraisal of the educational quality of QNU (Cycle 2), saying that the ITA’s recommendations would serve as the basis for QNU to make plans to improve the quality of its training.

At the end of the closing session, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My and Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam - Head of the IAT signed the minutes of the completion of the official survey for independent appraisal of QNU’s educational quality.
Promoting the recorded achievement, taking advantage of opportunities, overcoming difficulties and challenges to raise its status, QNU believes that in the new development period, it will contribute to improving the national innovative and competitive capacity.
